With lots of hillclimbs crossing major trails, it occurs to me that little arrow signs might be a convenience to riders who bail out half way up. Yes, there is good reason NOT to place more and more signs out there. But I was thinking these could be about 2x6 inches, and made out of something recycled and biodegradeable, with edible ink, etc. We could maybe just staple them to something nearby, like a tree or a rock, or one of those wandering cows. But seriously, I myself have gone the wrong way a few times. And a few little paper arrows, placed by happy and disoriented volunteers might make the place a little safer. What do you think?

Agreed, the entire length of Adobe and Beverly's really need this. More "wrong way" signs at well placed blind corners could accomplish a lot too.
Small arrows located right at the cross trail aren't a bad idea but they might give the wrong impression that it's "ok" to be doing the hill climb.

Four rocks, 3 on the bottom, one on top. This obviously would be something human, and could be placed at crossings to indicate the human direction. No cost. No rubbish. Oblio would like this.
