The gate at Garcia gulch is bent pretty good, cannot be closed/latched and is swinging in the breeze. Currently is a liability, and should be looked at ASAP.
As for the rest of the gates, i support them and (think they) are a good idea, however, the bottoms are too narrow, and need constant attention, i.e. the base(s) need to be built up with rock as they are constantly being dug out by motorcycles crossing them. If resources are thin, then task a volunteer with ROHVA/side by side cert (I am) with some rock to fill them in periodically.
Just say the word.

Yes I am aware of the Garcia's Gate, someone must have hit that thing HARD.
I had the trail crew inspect it and unfortunately it wasn't designed to be removed very easily and it will have to be cut out. Hopefully it will be addressed this week.
As far as the berm maintenance I don't think Rock is necessary, just dirt packed down with water. You are welcome to shovel and pack as necessary. If needed take a S/S for water jugs.

Is it that we don't have rock ? Because dirt will do what it has been doing in there.
