Thank you Chris, and anyone else. We had a strong turnout of RatPackers to honor the memory of Gene. The track was excellent, and it became a very popular feature of the park today. We will not forget G. Loveless... Vaya con Dios, good buddy.

It was good to see you out there today. I didn't know Gene or ever spoke to him, he was just the guy in the big water truck that always waived back with a smile. The 1st time, and the last time a few weeks ago, and the hundreds of times in between. I will somehow mis someone I never met face to face. It's a sad day, and I'm very sorry for the loss of your friend and comrade.

Thanks V30. And even though many Rat Packers aren't doing it, the approved therapy for this loss is to ride round and round real fast. A lot. Thankfully, Chris has kept the track in excellent condition for months now. And it can be hoped that Gene's family will find similar solace by celebrating the fact that life goes on.

Update 12-28-2013: Amazing blue groove has formed, and no pot holes. We have found the perfect weather conditions for the TT track dirt! Frost. Works pretty good. And now some of the riders are asking for a little more lift on the jump. Maybe next time it's graded we could sharpen that lip.
